Overcoming Evil

Open your eyes! The spiritual battle rages around us. But you can’t see the enemy with your physical eyes. Nor can you see Jesus standing at the Father’s right hand with your physical eyes, or any angelic warriors fighting FOR you. But they are real. And so is the adversary, and his forces. Let’s open our eyes and stay in the fight.

2 Kings 6:15-17:
And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
And he answered, Fear not: for THEY THAT BE WITH US ARE MORE THAN THEY THAT BE WITH THEM.
And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, OPEN HIS EYES, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of HORSES AND CHARIOTS OF FIRE round about Elisha.

Elisha’s servant thought he and his master were in BIG TROUBLE because of what he saw with his physical eyes. But God’s supply was greater, and superior to the enemy’s attacks. The same is true for us today in Christ Jesus our Lord. For he is LORD OVER ALL THINGS!

Ephesians 1:20-23:
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
FAR ABOVE ALL PRINCIPALITY, AND POWER, AND MIGHT, AND DOMINION, AND EVERY NAME THAT IS NAMED, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
And hath put ALL THINGS UNDER HIS FEET, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Christ IS OVER ALL EVIL SPIRIT FORCES, and we are part of HIS BODY. All things are under our feet spiritually, because we are seated in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But WE MUST USE THE AUTHORITY WE HAVE IN CHRIST TO STAND AGAINST THESE EVIL FORCES THAT SURROUND US. Then we can stand victoriously in this evil day.

Ephesians 6:10-13:
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but AGAINST PRINCIPALITIES, AGAINST POWERS, AGAINST THE RULERS OF THE DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD, AGAINST SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to WITHSTAND IN THE EVIL DAY, and having done all [OVERCOME EVERY ENEMY], to stand.

God promises to crush our enemy, not because of our own limited ability as a person, but because we have “Christ in us” and wield all the POWER OF THE RISEN CHRIST! It is all TO US BECAUSE OF THE FATHER’S GRACE IN CHRIST.

Romans 16:20:
And the God of peace shall BRUISE SATAN UNDER YOUR FEET shortly. The GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST be with you. Amen.

And again I say, AMEN!!!!!
