GOD IS FAITHFUL

A new hymn based on scripture:

 

1 Corinthians 1:9:
GOD IS FAITHFUL, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 10:13:
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but GOD IS FAITHFUL, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

GOD IS FAITHFUL

Amidst the worldly pain and strife
That fills our hearts with woe,
There is a constant promise,
That we all should know.
It never leaves us in despair
But cheers our every way.
For GOD IS FAITHFUL to His Word,
To care for us each day.

When we made Jesus Christ our Lord,
‘Twas he raised from the dead,
To sit at Father’s own right hand,
And guide his church as head.
God promised us sweet fellowship,
Full sharing with our Lord.
For GOD IS FAITHFUL, calling us,
To trust His every Word.

There’s no temptation taken us,
But that all others face.
In Christ we are sufficient,
Made able through his grace.
For every time that we are tried,
Escape is ours to claim,
For GOD IS FAITHFUL to His Word,
When we call Jesus’ name.

O brothers and dear sisters,
Let us never more forget,
God’s goodness, grace, and mercy,
As His spirit guides us yet.
And let each day remind us,
As we walk with Him above,
That GOD IS FAITHFUL to His children,
Shielded by His love.
