This morning, James 1:4 “jumped out” at me!
James 1:4 [James Moffatt Translation]:
Only, let your endurance be a FINISHED PRODUCT, so that you may be finished and complete, with NEVER A DEFECT.
This sounds like good advice for factory workers! But what about the “tapestry” and “artistic canvas” of our lives? We are spiritually complete in Christ each day.
Colossians 2:10:
And ye are COMPLETE in him [the risen Christ], which is the head of all principality and power.
I also appreciate and am thankful for YOUR PRAYERS for Sherry and me and our families and those we love. I want to stand steadfast and do what the Father wants me to do EACH DAY as I serve my Lord Jesus.
Colossians 4:12:
Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, THAT YE MAY STAND PERFECT AND COMPLETE in all the will of God.
None of us will ever have a “perfect life,” but we can do our best each day to walk by the spirit in us and do God’s will. That will is good and acceptable. It conforms to the “Christ in us.”
Romans 12:1,2:
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that GOOD, AND ACCEPTABLE, AND PERFECT WILL OF GOD.
The Father’s good will is shown to the earth in the life of His Son.
Luke 2:14:
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, GOOD WILL TOWARD MEN.
We want our Father and His Son to be glorified by our lives this and every day.
Ephesians 6:7:
With GOOD WILL DOING SERVICE, as to the Lord, and not to men.
Finally, brothers and sisters, let’s grow up into Christ more and more each day we have the grace and mercy to be alive and serve in love.
Ephesians 4:15:
But speaking the truth in love, may GROW UP INTO HIM in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
Christ can be formed IN US!
Galatians 4:19:
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until CHRIST BE FORMED IN YOU.
