Perfect

Montana Pond

God’s truth is unbreakable, complete, everlasting, and perfect.

Deuteronomy 32:4:
He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

Peter: Growing in Commitment

peter growth blog

I remember our two-year-old son standing in my size-13 shoes. Sometimes kids want to grow up fast, overnight. But that’s not how most things work in real life. Plants take a while to grow, in stages. The same is physically true of animals and people. Jesus Christ worked lovingly and patiently with Peter to help him grow in commitment over time.

Just Like Your Dad: Nature and Nurture

just like dad 7
Is it me, or my Dad?

I’ve seen pictures of my dad as a boy that look exactly the way I did at that age.  People tell me that they recognize my son from behind because he walks just like me.

We barely knew each other. And we both soon discovered that we were very different people.

Jesus Christ taught many things. Perhaps one of his best known teachings is about sowing seed and bringing forth fruit.

In Love

simmonsE - Copy - Copy (3)

I was ten years old and we had just moved into town. I first saw her playing kickball and admired her pretty face, athleticism, and spunky drive—and something new sparked in my heart. Over the next six years, this exciting and uneasy feeling continued as she dated others and I never had the courage to tell her how I truly felt. I was “in love” according to all the books and movies I knew, but I wasn’t sure what it all really meant.
