Life’s journey seems so tiring,Each step of endless care,
The moments pass so slowly,
Amidst the thickened air.
I cannot find the finish line.
Endurance, hopeless, fades.
And all that’s left that once was mine
Slinks down to darkened shades.
What can I do to save my soul?
What measures can I take?
Before death takes its mortal toll,
What works are mine to make?
There is one “work” for man do,
Allows us to repent.
For Jesus said “the work of God:
Believe on who He’s sent.”
Yes, faith in Jesus Christ our Lord
Will lighten deepest night.
When we accept God at His Word,
Each wrong is soon made right.
Salvation comes with faith in Christ,
A risen Lord who died,
To give us everlasting life,
And in his grace abide.
