The END IS NEAR! Yes, 2025 is almost over. It’s often good to look back and reflect on things.
My prayer today is “open my eyes that I may see.” I’ve learned that I can “get moving” into the day without seeking God’s advice. That usually doesn’t turn out too well. I think of Joshua doing the same kind of thing. After defeating and taking the city of Jericho in Joshua chapter 6, he sends out spies again. This time to the city of Ai.
We will NEVER be disappointed in our hope and trust in Christ.
A Christian hymn says “Take it to the Lord in prayer.” The Bible shows us how prayer is a wonderful resource that the Father gives us to do good in this life. It is all through Jesus Christ, His Son.
I’ve thought about this verse for a number of years.
I Peter 5:7:
Casting all your care upon him [God]; for he careth for you.
Lord, I know I don’t deserve, any of Your grace,God wants us to love and trust Him, as a small child confides in parents. That open-hearted communication with the Father is called prayer. Jesus showed us how to pray.
I am thankful to God for a whole litany of things, both the prayers He has answered, and the requests that I expect He will answer. And every Thanksgiving season, I run through the list, expressing great thankfulness to my heavenly Father for all He has done and will do in my life and in the lives of my loved ones.
THANKSGIVING DAY. Today, we are thankful. We all have plenty to be thankful for. We could each most likely go on for hours about all we have to be thankful for. But can we be thankful in ANY circumstance?
