Crushing Satan Beneath Our Feet!

WE have authority over evil spirits. They are spiritually BENEATH OUR FEET because we are born again and share in all of the accomplished works of our risen Lord, Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 1:21-23:
FAR ABOVE ALL principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
And hath put ALL THINGS UNDER HIS FEET, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
Which is HIS BODY [THAT’S US!], the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

ALL means ALL! There is no evil spirit of depression, fear, lust, hate, envy, jealousy, mockery, deceit, lies, division, confusion, or slumber [see Galatians 5:19-21 for a longer list] that can defeat us when we claim our spiritual rights as sons of God and joint heirs with Christ! But we need our COMPLETE spiritual resources in Christ to stand together against these forces of evil.

Ephesians 6:12,13:
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the WHOLE ARMOUR of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Yes, it is true that these spiritual powers are “in high places.” They have authority under Satan, the “god of this world” [2 Corinthians 4:4]. But we are SPIRITUALLY HIGHER IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD. We are members of the body of Christ and they are UNDER OUR FEET.

Romans 16:20:
And the God of peace shall BRUISE SATAN UNDER YOUR FEET shortly. The GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST be with you. Amen.

That’s the only way that God can bring victory into our lives and bruise [crush] Satan under our feet. The “promised seed,” Jesus Christ [Genesis 3:15] did what God called him to do. He defeated the adversary and destroyed his evil works, even conquering death [Acts 10:38; Hebrews 2:14; 1 John 3:8]. It is only in the GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ that we can be victorious over evil. It is NOT by our own futile works, but by HIS!

In order to do the same IN OUR LIVES, we must use all that God has given us together in the body of Christ.

Ephesians 6:14-18:
Stand therefore, having your LOINS GIRT ABOUT WITH TRUTH, and having on the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the GOSPEL OF PEACE;
Above all, taking the SHIELD OF FAITH, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the HELMET OF SALVATION, and the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, which is the word of God:
Praying always with ALL PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION IN THE SPIRIT, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

We have 7 things that help us overcome Satan and bruise him UNDER OUR FEET:

1. Truth
2. Righteousness
3. Good news bringing peace
4. Faith
5. Salvation
6. God’s Word
7. Prayer in the spirit

Let’s rise up today and stand together as one body, IN CHRIST, to overcome our enemy Satan and ALL his deeds.
