Meekness: How to Live

Meek. That’s how I want to live.

Moses was a good listener. God told him many things.

Numbers 12:3:
Now the man Moses was very MEEK, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.

God supplies everything we need when we are open to Him.

Psalms 22:26:
The MEEK shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

That’s how we get the Father’s guidance and direction. He loves to teach us to be like Him.

Psalms 25:9:
The MEEK will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

We have true peace when we are meek to the Father.

Psalms 37:11:
But the MEEK shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

God will justly bring salvation to those who trust Him.

Psalms 76:9:
When God arose to judgment, to save all the MEEK of the earth. Selah.

The Father lifts us up when we go to HIM. The wicked receive the consequences of their evil hearts.

Psalms 147:6:
The LORD lifteth up the MEEK: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.

God enjoys bringing the beauty of His salvation to us in Christ.

Psalms 149:4:
For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the MEEK with salvation.

Jesus, the Messiah, came to bring justice and salvation to the meek and humble.

Isaiah 11:4:
But with righteousness shall he judge the poor [humble], and reprove with equity for the MEEK of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

Our true joy is in what we have in Christ.

Isaiah 29:19:
The MEEK also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor [humble] among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

Jesus, the Messiah, came to bring good tidings of God’s love and goodness to all who will receive him.

Isaiah 61:1:
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the MEEK; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.

Evil men will attack the meek and humble. But God will always deliver them.

Amos 2:7:
That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor [humble], and turn aside the way of the MEEK: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name.

To be meek is to seek. Jesus said that we will find when we seek the Father.

Zephaniah 2:3:
Seek ye the LORD, all ye MEEK of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek MEEKNESS: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.

Jesus quoted Psalm 37 in a new way. We are blessed when we are meek.

Matthew 5:5:
Blessed are the MEEK: for they shall inherit the earth.

Jesus showed us HOW to be meek.

Matthew 11:29:
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am MEEK and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Jesus, the Messiah, fulfilled every prophecy about him. That included being meek.

Matthew 21:5:
Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, MEEK, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

What makes a woman or wife truly valuable to God is her meekness and inner peace. That is truly beautiful.

1 Peter 3:4:
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a MEEK and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

Let’s be like our Lord Jesus Christ and stay meek to the Father. That is where all the blessings are found!

Giving thanks to God for you. This idea has often been a struggle because I heard some Christians confuse ‘confidence in God’ as a cover for ‘pride’ or ‘arrogance’. You cleared that up. God bless you!

Yes, meekness is a great key to walking with the Father. Every morning I thank God for allowing Christ to lead me in every 24 hour period. I relinquish my spirit, soul, and body to Him each day. Not concerned about yesterday or tomorrow. I don’t want to be distracted from the great things that He puts before me. My focus is walking the path of righteousness with all meekness.
Love you, Bob
