Our Forgiveness and Healing

I’m married to a health specialist. Sherry focuses on keeping us both physically fit by getting the best available food, encouraging regular exercise, and even buying the safest dishwashing liquid. She and I have also been focusing on spiritual wholeness that brings divine physical healing, often miraculously.

We’ve studied the Bible for ourselves and learned from the lives of ministers [B. G. Leonard, Andrew Wommack, T. L. Osborn, and others] to see the healing available TODAY through God’s loving and gracious care for us in Christ.

FORGIVENESS from sin is such a big part of physical healing.

Exodus 15:26:
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God….for I am the LORD that HEALETH thee.

When we listen to God’s voice and know that we are righteous in Christ, God is able to heal us. Because God forgives ALL our sins, He can heal ALL our diseases.

Psalms 103:3:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who HEALETH all thy diseases.

God’s healing and salvation are sure and real. We should praise our Father for His gracious gift to us in Christ. When we believe on Jesus as our risen Lord, we have eternal life. AND we have physical healing in this life on earth.

Jeremiah 17:14:
Heal me, O LORD, and I SHALL BE HEALED; save me, and I SHALL BE SAVED: for thou art my praise.

Jesus taught that forgiveness and healing go hand in hand. We are healed not by our own goodness, but by what our good Father has done for us in Jesus our Lord.

Mark 2:9:
Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be FORGIVEN thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

Why did Jesus consent to suffering more than any man? Why did he pour out his life blood on the cross? To secure our salvation and righteousness; AND to bring healing when we need it today. Last Sunday, I had the joy of ministering to a woman at a small church nearby. The first thing was showing her that she is forgiven and righteous in Christ. She shed many tears of relief to know that. THEN I was able to minister healing to her physical body.

1 Peter 2:24:
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS: by whose stripes ye WERE HEALED.

Let’s thank our heavenly Father for giving His Son to make us righteous in the righteousness of Christ. And may we thank our wonderful Lord, Jesus Christ, each day for the healing he brings as we trust in him.

Amen. I love you.
