God wants us to walk in light and not to stumble. God’s wisdom is sound and shows us how to walk safely.
Beloved Sons of Light

There are many ideas about how to be a good parent as a Christian believer. Paul’s letter to the Ephesian church has some great principles we can follow to be like our heavenly Father when we raise our own children.
Have you ever stubbed your toe because you had no “night light”? God wants us to see where we are going spiritually. Jesus told us about this.
Background
This Psalm is tied together with Psalm 42, for it has no title of its own. This unity can be seen in that a chorus occurs in the middle and end of Psalm 42 and at the end of Psalm 43. This chorus includes: “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him.”

With Matthew, his fellow shepherdsman,
He savored God’s goodness and said:
THANKSGIVING DAY. Today, we are thankful. We all have plenty to be thankful for. We could each most likely go on for hours about all we have to be thankful for. But can we be thankful in ANY circumstance?
I Thessalonians 5:16-18:
Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks…

In the Eastern culture of the Bible, the word “father” is used of someone who begins or supplies something. God, our heavenly Father is the beginner and source of mercy, glory, spiritual ability, and light.
Have you read any books or manuals on marriage? Talked to a marriage counselor or family therapist? Watched TV shows like Divorce Court or Wife Swap? Asked family or friends for marriage advice? I have done all the above and more. And yes, I learned plenty. But most of it was fluffy self-improvement kind of stuff, sort of like trying to live on a diet of cake and ice cream with some chopped liver thrown in for nourishment. At one point, I decided to get serious and focus on God’s view of the subject in His Word and start eating right.

In Part 1, we saw that our eyes are to be flooded with God’s spiritual light, just as a mighty laser can focus photons into a brilliant stream of power and energy. We also learned that humility opens our eyes to see what the Father has for us to learn. And we saw how to keep His light in our hearts.

My father-in-law has worked with lasers for most of his adult life. He received his PhD in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1960.
