Sherry and I were talking about three super important things to remember today! WE HAVE Christ’s peace, Christ’s word, and our Lord’s name! That gives us THE VICTORY each day.
God’s joy and gladness is for us today.
The word “crown” is used in the New Testament. The Greek word for crown [stephanos] comes from the verb stephō, meaning to entwine or wreathe. It was used in ancient Greek writings to describe a badge of royalty, or as a prize in the public games, which were often laurel leaves entwined to make a wreathe for the head.
Happy Father’s Day! Let’s see how good our Father is now and throughout eternity.

Theodore Tilton, an American poet and newspaper editor, lived from 1835 –1907. Tilton is famous for a poem he wrote at the age of 23, called “The King’s Ring.” It includes the line, “Even this shall pass away” at the end of each of its seven stanzas. The following poem follows his rhyme scheme and focuses on some uses of the phrase “It is written” in the New Testament.
Don’t cry! God has given you joy of heart.

I can remember running nearly 20 full marathons. Each had its own challenges and joys. And each had wonderful rewards waiting for me at the end. Sherry would be there, and I knew she would take me home to a big dinner, a hot bath, and maybe even a foot rub! That hope gave me the endurance to finish each race strong. What does the Bible say about future rewards for the good, loving deeds that we do in this life? A great deal!
